It was the perfect day for gelato today. What better place for gelato than one that you've been wanting to try for years? Kekou is located close to Chinatown. The store format was organized and relaxed, drawing in a young crowd. Luckily, it was not busy when we came, so we were able to grab seats.
We ordered based on Yelp review recommendations. (Thanks, yelpers!) My friend got a cone with two scoops: oolong and HK milk tea, while I got a scoop of the HK milk tea in a cup.
The flavours are very rich. I was quite full from my dinner earlier, but nonetheless I enjoyed the dessert.
Kekou also seems to have a free stamp card, which was offered to me at the cash register. There was a building lineup when my friend reach the register; she was not offered a card.
My only hesitation with becoming a regular is that the gelato is quite expensive; almost $4 for a small scoop.
