| - Anyone who has been to Buffalo knows that it's more expensive than a regular thrift store, but has cuter stuff. You can expect to spend an average of $13 on an article of clothing if it's not on sale. Watch out for the occasional $25-$30 item. Sometimes they have certain tags half off. Ask about the tags on your way in. I personally come here to find unique blouses. Not everything here is used.
Things to buy here: blouses, dresses, shoes, sunglasses.
The fitting room is big enough with a curtain for a door. There's a mirror in each one and one in the hall. It's pretty closed off and someone is always nearby.
You can sell your clothes here, but they have to good condition and usually brand name. Many people are insulted they don't buy a lot of stuff and they money they give you for it is not much. There's always a long wait to sell clothes. The people doing it seem down and out, and can be hard to watch. If you've been there lately you've seen the shelves are full. For that reason expect buyers to be extremely selective.
Anytime you buy used you should examine all seams, smell the pits of shirts, look over the pits for stains (and the rest of the garment by holding up your hand as a table and slowly passing the garment over it), check the strength of buttons, make sure zippers are in working order and sewn on well, check the tag for washing instructions (dry clean only is a bummer and certain fabrics require too much). Never settle for anything faded or that has pilling. If a fabric feels bad on your skin then it will never get better. I also want to say that many vintage fabrics have a stink in the pits that you can't smell until you get your own sweat on it. It's like it gets reactivated. I hate that so bad and try my best to be very careful to avoid these items.
