Even for a staff training day (first day prior to the official soft opening) the quality of food and service puts all other theaters here to shame. The seats are more comfortable than the Chandler location and since it's more central it no longer takes me an hour just to get there. The bar design is a huge improvement over the Chandler location and the manager Trisha did an excellent job helping to right a technical issue with their app (was originally unable to purchase a Mondo glass for DP2 through the app for some reason).
Victor Moreno of Cult Classics is also doing his Video Vortex series and considering I've already been to a dozen of his events at another venue in Tempe I'm excited to have him regularly hosting events at my favorite theater in the Valley.
Thank you Alamo. My fiancee came over here from Austin where I had my first Alamo experience and when she moved here we didn't even have an announcement for one and I was already missing it. We made several trips when the Chandler venue opened despite really disliking the long road trip (spending almost as much time on the road as watching the movie) because Alamo is just that awesome. But now they're also somewhere with a far more palpable drive for myself and most of my friends with several improvements over the first AZ location.
Thank you for coming to Arizona!
