A second review for one place? Still amazing. They've recently opened for brunch, and I absolutely had to stop in and try what they had working up. Here's my thoughts!
"Viking-style Brunch"
Fruit box - a variety of seasonal fruits served on bed of ice. Great to nibble on while waiting on my other guests to arrive. Enjoyed very fresh squeezed orange juice.
Liege Waffles - absolutely amazing. Lightly crisped waffles served with this great spread selection. Chocolate ginger and white chocolate mousse. We mixed them together. Incredible.
Sous Vide Eggs - sweet potato hash compliments the duck pastrami and egg that's cooked to a nice creamy perfection. All of this is drizzled with a yuzu hollandaise.. Making a very eclectic spin on the traditional brunch eggs Benedict.
There is a sushi cart offered with a widespread variety of rolls, sashimi and nigiris. We nibbled lightly on this .. Wanting to fill up on the brunchy goodness.
You're then offered a salad for the table... And we each got to select an entree. I chose the spicy filet... Always a favorite. My guests chose the jiodori chicken and the salmon teriyaki. We also devoured their wild mushroom kamamashi pot. Great warm ending to the meal. Especially for a rainy brunch Sunday.
I definitely recommend pairing your brunch with bubbles. We paired our waffles and eggs with the Moët Rose, but they offer a great list of bubbles and cocktails to start your Sunday off right.
Overall, Baku impresses again. For $36 a guest...to eat such an impressive array... Definitely a go-to brunch spot for something delicious that's a fresh change of pace.
