Wide Open is one of the rare dive bars in Toronto - and like any real dive bar, it's got tons of character. The first thing you'll notice about Wide Open is that it's basically an alleyway. Nope, it's not ON an alleyway, it IS the alleyway.
The bar itself is super tiny. It's not the place for groups, but it's got quite a good setting when drinking with a close friend or two. Also, it usually gets really busy over the weekend, so you shouldn't expect to find a seat during party hours.
Some of the other reviews noted the bad service, but for me, the service was like any bar in the area.
The beer is good and cheap. Drink up!
