So my favorite nail technician left to go to another salon. I decided to try someone else because maybe it wouldn't be so bad? False. I went to get a Shellac manicure (claim to fame is that it shouldn't chip for at least 2 weeks) and I noticed that halfway through the appointment my nail tech ducked behind the counter and started to dilute the polish with acetone because the bottle was almost empty. The Shellac process is like a chemical experiment (bonding agent, base coat, UV dry for X minutes, polish, UV dry, etc. etc.) so you can't just be throwing in some extra ingredients because your salon is too cheap to crack open a new bottle of nail polish. I asked the nail tech if I should consider another polish and she got defensive and told me that I already started with that color and now I cannot change it. At the end of my appointment I asked her to touch up the cuticle area where she had missed with the trimmers and also to remove the paint she had dripped on my skin. Once again, she got extrememly rude and defensive. Two days later, the polish from my thumb nail has already peeled off in a big sheet. Never again. I was a pretty loyal and regular customer, but I am now in the market for a new nail salon. $35 is too much money to waste on crappy manicures and bad attitudes.
