This is my summertime addiction! I love love love gelato, especially from Dolce Gelato. I usually have different moods whenever I get gelato. Sometimes I'm in a chocolate mood and sometimes I just want something fruity. I always get the 2 scoop cups- just depends on my hunger level if I get a small or a medium. I do have to say though, I've never spent over $4 on one visit to Dolce Gelato. The price is really good for what you get and the atmosphere they provide you with.
Here's the run-down on my favorite flavors:
Feeling sweet and milky? Try these:
-Tiramisu: so good. Doesn't taste like the real thing, but it's close enough for a froze dessert. You really get the hints of coffee in it
-Chocolate: it's chocolate. Need I say more?
-Nocciola: It's just a hazelnut flavor. I usually pair this with the chocolate to fuel my Nutella addiction.
-Bacio: Why mix chocolate and hazelnut together when you can just have this? It pretty much tastes the same and there's some chocolate ribbons floating around in there... pretty good. I usually pair this with the tiramisu.
Mocha: It's pretty good. I don't really like strong coffee bases so this is perfect. I usually pair this with the bacio or chocolate.
Feeling fruity? Try these:
-LEMON! This is a must-try in my books. Not too tart, not to sweet, and just an authentic lemon flavor. Sooo yummy and the most refreshing flavor I've tried. It cures the hot-humid day blues.
-Mango: I'm a mango addict so anything with mango is good in my books. It's pretty sweet.
-strawberry: a little tart
-Raspberry: this one is also a little tart
I usually pair any of the fruit ones with lemon because it's a good base and it washes all the other flavors off your tongue. It's just so good.
Service is also pretty good here. I'm here at least once a week in the summer and I don't have any complaints!
