Sure, it's a more expensive hotel. But if you stack the Hotel Monaco against all the other expensive hotels in Pgh, it is the clear winner. Well done, Kimpton.
The staff is unbelievably friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. The wine-happy-hour is free, social, and unique.
I could write a sonnet about the bath tubs in the "spa" rooms. Suffice to say, this is what made me decide that I will be taking a once-a-month "staycation" here during the winter months.
The restaurant is really good and deserves it's own 5-star review.
Expensive, but worth every penny if you're looking to be pampered for a night or two!
