  • Meh. That's basically all I can say. About this location of Starbucks, and really every other. It's so hit and miss. Sometimes the coffee is ok, doing the job, but costing a pretty penny. Other times, the beans are so over-roasted the coffee comes out tasting like burnt cigarettes, and you've spent $2 to be pissed off that you continue to go back to Starbucks. Masking this by ordering a sugar-laden macchiato or something is effective, but doubles the cost and ups your chance of developing diabetes. If ever I order one of those types of drinks, I ALWAYS order it half sweet. Who the hell are these people in the Starbucks tasting focus groups, "it's pretty good... But it needs way more sugar. I can still taste some flavor other than sweet." I do appreciate that Starbucks offers lactose-free milk, as regular milk can sometimes be pretty hard on my stomach. So kudos for that. Returning to the negative, their baked goods are usually pretty inedible. Stale, day-old, previously frozen lumps of flour and sugar. Don't bother. EXCEPT the cake pops. Three bite wonders of half-baked batter goodness. But again, be aware of the diabetes-inducing sugar-shot these puppies deliver. I don't know why we all keep coming back. I think they are just THAT good at marketing. There is something inherently appealing about Starbucks, the brand. But I've become more and more unwilling to drink ashtray coffee, and find myself visiting Starbucks less and less these days.
