I thought I needed to replace both cracked screen and charging port on iPhone 5s but staff told me charging port not an issue and gave me a charging cord that worked. Previously, at a visit to Apple Genius Bar, their staff told me charging port needed to be replaced. Apple failed to mention that some of their lightening cables don't work after last update.
Full marks to iFixexpress for being honest and not replacing something that wasn't even broken. 40 minutes and $60 later I have a fully operational iPhone 5s and a charging cable that works with the phone.
