| - Bar Moderno is a snazzy and refined cocktail lounge near the casino floor and guest elevators (no long walks back stumbling in your 5 inch heels!) So, on our last night in Vegas, we wanted to just lounge and not do crazy things.
Wait, that sounds boring! Let's close out with a bang! ;)
4 hand crafted cocktails, 2 glasses of Macallan 18 and 2 cigars for the boys. Cocktails range from $13 -14 each (it's Vegas!) We had an awesome bloody mary that definitely had a kick! Aria makes their own bloody mary mix and adds Absolut vodka and tabasco chipotle sauce. The garnishes are generous: olive, pepperoncini and a dill pickle.
We tried several cocktails, I'd have to say I'm impressed with their liquor offerings: premium alcohol, housemade bitters, etc. The standouts are: Stone Wall (fig jam and bourbon), Comet (Remy Cognac, Drambuie and Yuzu) and In Fashion (whiskey, cherry herring liquer and carpano antica)
The shorty cigar A. Fuente was robust and heady; I took a couple of puffs and was like "yuck!". I guess I won't be a cigar connoisseur anytime soon. Hmmm, maybe never.
We got good service from the bar staff considering how busy it was on a Monday night! We did have to remind them to bring a cutter for the cigars. However, we were constantly checked on for drinks.
There's live music on piano and guitar, the singer did a great mix of top 40, alternative but mostly songs from the 90's.
A no-fail cocktail lounge with live entertainment to close out our last night in sin city. Until next time!
