I brought my car in because my check engine light was on. The diagnostic process took 3 weeks (diagnostics cost 150 but get waived if they fix it). Turned out to be the EGR Valve. Nate quoted me 722 dollars which did not sit well with me. So I call Autonation Honda and instead of telling them who I was I just asked for a quote for the part/labor/installation/tax. I spoke with Rae who was very determined to get me a accurate quote. She quoted me at 388 dollars. I was so upset. So I called Nate and asked why he quoted me so much. He said nervously because his boss, the service manager was pressuring him to charge me a extra hour for how long the diagnostic took and he was trying to compromise with me and his boss but according to their stipulations a diagnostic is 150 no matter how long it takes and should be waived if I chose to get it fixed there (all this information was direrctly stated to me) 150 for labor sounded off too. So again I called just for a quote for how much labor cost. The service advisor whom i cant remember the name of said it was 130. So again he was quoting me more then what was actually priced. So I put my foot down and said no we are paying the 388 which is the quoted price. I finally picked up my car and the panel near the engine pop lever near my feet on the driver side near my left foot was off and the panel on the passenger side was off. I strongly recommend that everyone call and check the prices as I did. Do not take their word for it. They are paid commission so the more money they can scam off of you the more they will pocket.
