  • I'm going to be honest and admit I've been avoiding trying their food, even though so many people have told me how good it is and my fellow Yelpers are all in agreement that the food is delicious. My issue is that I've only been to Dandy when its after 12am and when I'm not really looking for a gourmet meal if you know what I mean... I am also going to admit that my fears were unfounded. I went at 11am on a Sunday and the floors were not still sticky, there were no errant beer bottles rolling around, and there was no lingering sweat/stale beer smell in the air. I ordered a coffee to start (blue laws are the bane of my existence) and it came with a cute mini milk bottle full of cream. Refills were frequent and the coffee was on par with other brunch places in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought over mini biscuits with apple butter and jam. The biscuits were a little overcooked but honestly any place that gives you free carbs as an appetizer is a winner in my book. I ended up ordering the migas as my meal because I can never have enough Mexican food in my life. The eggs were well cooked and spiced well. I was a bit confused on how they wanted me to eat them - as a taco? as a burrito? as nachos? I ended up eating them as scrambled eggs and ate the tortillas on the side. Overall, I definitely recommend Dandelion as a good option for brunch when you don't feel like waiting for a table at Zada Janes. I can't wait to go back and try their dinner/lunch menu as it looked delicious!
