| - Unfortunately, I had a fender bender, and my insurance company told me to take my car to Scottsdale Paint and Body. I noticed after I picked the car up I noticed the paint was whiskering (cracking) on the front bumper. However, Penske bought them out. So I take it back there, and they told me I must have hit something and would not honor the terrible sub-par job done by Scottsdale Paint and Body.
Years go by, and in 2017 I was rear-ended, and I was in the process of getting quotes for repairs, and I am repeatedly told that the whiskering was caused by Penske not prepping properly, if at all. Anyway, I take the car back there for a quote, and to see if they can fix the whiskering. And to my surprise, the guy looks at my car says to me, "You hit something. Didn't your husband tell you to stop hitting things?" I was shocked. First, it's non of his business if I am married or not. Second, those are typical words to use to keep a woman "in her place." I guess those insulting and demeaning words worked, because I got out of there as fast as I could, and I will NEVER return. Not only that, but I will repeat this story if it ever comes up in conversation, most importantly, to a woman. I have since had it repaired by a terrific small body shop that had it done in 1 day, and they even drove me home after I dropped it off. I wish I would have taken these guys to Small Claims, so I just want to put this out there.
