Very similar to its sister restaurant Naked Fish, but I find the menu more authentic and open. I decided to try some unusual dishes in terms of American sushi so I went with grilled full fish, grilled squid, and a seaweed salad. The menu items took a little longer than I expected considering there were only 2 groups f people in house and 6+ chefs. I received the seaweed salad first and it was great. It was a 4 parter with jellyfish, cucumber, seaweed, and ginger. A very nice addition for only $3. The fish reminded me of large scale anchovies. Super crunchy and delicious for only $3.50. Finally the squid ($8) was prepared perfectly, and although I didn't enjoy it that much, it wasn't the restaurant's fault. It just wasn't eery flavorful as it was just fresh squid in some miso sauce. If this place is anything like Naked Fish, then I will surely be back for the epic HH after 10pm to enjoy quality dishes and sake for cheap. The restaurant is a little o ut of the way for me but whenever I'm on the south west side of town late night Kyara will be near the top of my list.
