Went for the second time yesterday and beat the weekend dinner rush at 5:30. Our experience was simply average this time. As always, the atmosphere is nice, clean and has soft flowing fabric on the ceiling that makes me feel like I am about to see a Cirque du Soleil show. Our server seemed very unhappy and didn't smile until he brought us the check and knew his tip was on the line. He must have been having a crummy day. It happens. Our Caesar kale salad and lobster bisque were fantastic but our entrees were below average. Wine taste is subjective but we were not fans of our choices (not their fault)and almost $8+ per glass is steep when they don't even fill the glass halfway.
I ordered the risotto lobster special and my stepmom the salmon and asparagus dish. Stepmom liked hers far more than I liked mine. The salmon was a bit overcooked and the sweet potatoes overly salty but she liked the overall taste and the asparagus were grilled and perfectly cooked. The risotto was over cooked, mushy and soupy, instead of a bit sticky as it should have been. The lobster was a good addition but I could have done without the pre-frozen, chewy shrimp and wanted more vegetables. There were literally three 1/2 inch pieces of asparagus and about five tiny slices of red pepper. The worst part was the sauce, which tasted like a can of Campbell's cream of chicken soup poured over the risotto. Bummer. We felt like the dishes weren't inedible but weren't good either. I do highly recommend their kale Cesar salad, lobster bisque, wedge salad and the sourdough bread they bring to the table. I don't believe we will be back, however.
