  • 1 star because the food was not bad. Pub food, to be expected. I am a server myself and I was appalled by the lack of service and the straight up rudeness from the servers. Multiple servers walked by our table (on patio) without interacting with us AT ALL for at least ten minutes (sometimes happens in seat yourself restos). No one said "we will be right with you, how are you?, I'll send a server over". When I finally approached the server when she walked by she said "I'll be right back". A male server came to our table to clear some dishes from the previous customer (still hasn't spoken a word to us) and he took our condiment caddy with him so I said "oh I'm sorry, we just got here!" (As in we just got here so you can leave the caddy with the napkins and condiments) and he said "uh, I know..", looked at me like I had 4 heads and walked away. My boyfriend and I looked at each other like "did that actually just happen?".. My mom asked where the washroom was as she was walking inside, to the same male server, and he pointed to nowhere. Once the female server finally came to our table we ordered drinks and food and it came in a timely manner. She also checked on us 2x. After being done eating, we asked for our bill- it took 20minutes and when I walked inside to see what was going on and to pay it, she turned around and went back to the computer bc she forgot to print our bill all together. I am pretty sure she had a total of about 5 tables to serve. I am really sorry to say that we did not tip her anything (which I am so against- being a server myself), but that was the most infuriating experience I have EVER had in a restaurant. I will never go back here, the servers treat you like crap and like they're doing YOU a favor by coming to your table. I highly recommend re-training your staff, or wiping the board and starting new. It's unfortunate that a business on Queen Street West (the heart of downtown) has such ignorant people working for them and giving them a bad name. It was a busy Saturday on the patio (beautiful weather!!!!)... So, IMAGINE how rammed it would've been if the service was excellent!
