[Taste] 3 out of 5: (Chili Skillet ordered with Carrot Cake Pancakes)
Food tastes of a decently cooked meal that one can cook for themselves at home. It's honestly pretty bland and needed to be spiced up with a lot of Tabasco. By the looks and taste of the dish, the cooks are very inexperienced. The carrot cake pancakes were so overcooked they were brown and had the texture of a Frisbee. The chili tasted like canned chili, microwaved and put on top of the skillet. However, the food was definitely edible enough to finish the entire meal.
[Presentation] 2 out of 5::
Very simple presentation on a plate. Nothing fancy. I'm used to way better presentation at competing, similarly priced breakfast restaurants. Again, it seems the cooks are very inexperienced, or have little direction or guidance from the owners.
Environment
------------------
[Seating] 2 out of 5:
Very uncomfortable seating arrangement. Tables are too close together and wobbly. The staff also doesn't seem to understand how to seat people. There are plenty of open tables but people are still waiting in line. Booths are pretty much non-existent. The existing booths are straight-up hard wood with no comfort cushions or padding.
[Concept] 4 out of 5:
You can't go wrong with a breakfast joint! People that love breakfast can be loyal patrons if you get the right people designing your restaurant atmosphere and concept. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, everyone loves these things.
[Service] 3 out of 5:
Service is OK. There doesn't seem to be any "type" that the restaurant hires. All really good restaurants don't hire everyone that puts in an application. Good restaurants hire the right person for the job and the concept of the restaurant.
