Friend and I came here for lunch and we were starving. They close at 3, but we were able to get there around 2:15. Two large parties were leaving when we arrived.
Although the restaurant is on the small side, it's nicely decorated with comfortable seats. I remember seeing 2 or 3 TVs. We were given water right away. We decided to go with the orange chicken lunch special ($8) pad Thai lunch special ($7) and pad see ew ($10) because we thought the lunch special portions would be small.
They started us off with a small bowl of vegetable soup that had one wonton in it. The meat was pretty tough so I didn't really care for it but the broth was flavorful and sweet... ( I'm hoping there isn't a bunch of msg in there). My friend really liked their soup.
Our food came our quickly and the orange chicken portion was pretty big. The pad Thai portion size was smaller and the pad see ew portion size looked ok, but we were too stuffed to finish anything. The spiciness level in both noodle dishes were supposed to be at a 2 (out of 5) but I felt that that pad Thai was more of like a 3.5. I had to pick out a bunch of (fresh) chili pieces out. Also, the color of the noodles seemed to be very... orange. I wasn't a huge fan of the pad Thai. However, the pad see ew was delicious! Best pad see ew I have ever had. It was perfectly seasoned with a hint of sweetness. Also, the beef was super tender. My friend enjoyed her orange chicken and also really liked the pad see ew. Next time we come back, we will be ordering pad see ew again.
Service was great. Our waters were constantly being refilled and we didn't feel rushed to finish our meal before their closing time at 3.
