I do the majority of my grocery shopping at Aldi and this is the best in the area, it's a bit bigger than the one in Robinson and easier to get in and out of. Very clean and organized.
I purchase primarily produce (for me and the guinea pig--he eats a lot) and meat/fish and Aldi always has wonderful produce that tastes great, seriously Avocados regularly under $1 when Market District is selling them for $3. If produce is ripe they greatly discount it, they one time had bananas that needed to be used within a day and had them marked down to 10 cents a pound...I bought about 12 pounds and cut them up and froze them for smoothies.Their frozen shrimp/seafood as well as their meat is a good price and I've been happy with the quality. When I do buy processed foods everything has been comparable to name brands, some things are a little off but you live and learn.
If you're looking to stretch your food budget, this is the place to go. Very fast checkout process and the carts are in great shape since everyone wants their quarter back so they aren't left drifting in the lot. I like bagging my own groceries because then I can guarantee canned goods aren't going to be on top of a loaf of bread and I can pack the bags as full as I'd like rather than being handed a bag with one or two items in it.
Especially since the renovation, this location has been PACKED with people who have no clue what they're doing and spend a lot of time wandering around marveling at prices. Getting out of the lot can be a little of a pain, especially on a weekend day.
