| - Received a Michael Kors bag as a gift, and after only using the bag about 4-5 times the gold hardware on the shoulder strap fell off. I was unable to put it back together, so thinking of the reputation and quality that Michael Kors stood for I immediately took the bag to the nearest Michael Kors store, which was located inside of the Fashion Show Mall. I was unfortunately told that they could only send it out to be repaired and that I would have to cover the cost, which truly surprised me and somewhat tarnished the image that I had of what I thought was such a reputable high end brand.
I'm a little disappointed for one that the bag fell apart after only being used 4-5 times, and extremely disappointed at the lack of customer service that was presented to me in the store. Am I wrong for assuming that such a high end brand would stand by the quality of their products and would provide the same levels of customer service as other competitors like Coach, Dooney & Burke, and also Tory Burch, who all take care of their customers and warranty their merchandise + guarantee the products that they sell.
I've been a very loyal Michael Kors consumer up until this incident, which has unfortunately tarnished the once prestigious image that I had of the company and their products. Terrible quality, they clearly do not value their loyal consumers, or guarantee the quality of the products that they sell.
