The AC compressor on my 9 month old 2015 Elantra went out so I called the service department first thing Monday (08/24/2015) and could not get anyone to answer the phone or return my calls despite many attempts until well in the afternoon. I then made an appointment for 10:30 the next morning since they said there was no way they could look at it that day. I had my daughter take it over since I was working and when she got there they told her it would take several hours just to find out what the problem was because there were several people ahead of her. What is the point of making an appointment? They told her they had no loaners and she couldn't spend that long there so due to our schedules we arranged to drop the car off Thursday night so they could look at it first thing Friday. I rented a car and my daughter followed me over to the dealership Thursday night after I got off of work to drop the car and keys as the girl I spoke to on the phone said I could. What she did not tell me was that the night drop option was only until a certain time. We were locked out and had to drive the considerable distance to the dealership AGAIN early the next morning. Of course they did not have the part and therefore I had to wait until Monday for the repair and had to extend my car rental for 2 more days. I was working again Monday the 31st so my wife and daughter went to pick up the car and were told that the service department did not have the car key. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Fortunately my daughter had the spare key and they were able to retrieve the car. Later that day when I called they had somehow managed to find the key but of course we had to make another trip over there to retrieve it. The people on the phone and at the dealership were certainly pleasant but that only goes so far. The incompetent and unprofessional service was beyond ridiculous. While I did receive a weak apology, nothing was ever offered to make up for any of the unnecessary cost or inconvenience. I now feel that I made a mistake purchasing my car here.
