  • If you haven't been to Good Food, you have to try them at least once. We went very hungry, and shared six dishes between the two of us. Here's what we had, in order of our favorites - 5/5 - Pappardelle with lamb cheeks - This is one of the best dishes I have EVER eaten. The mint was a perfect complement to the absolutely melt-in-your-mouth lamb. And the pappardelle was perfectly cooked and went well with the lamb. I almost ordered a second one of this dish, but held myself back so I could try some other things. 5/5 - Korean beef - If you like spicy food, this is one you need to try. The beef was tender and very flavorful, and the rice cake was crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. I savored every bite. 5/5 - Beets - I'm not a beet fan, but my hubby is. This was made with what appeared to be puréed beets, sliced beets, and goat cheese. He said it was one of the best beet dishes he'd ever had. 4/5 - Gnocchi with chicken sausage - The gnocchi were small, soft little pillows. The chicken sausage was thinly sliced and nicely spiced. The mushrooms were small, thin, and very flavorful. The Parmesan sauce was a little too heavy for me, though, and I'm not a fan of peas. 3/5 - Scallops with couscous - The scallops were perfectly cooked, but I wasn't fond if the couscous. It was flavored with red peppers, overpowering the dish. I would have preferred polenta or grits to couscous. 3/5 - Pork bun - I heard this one was one of their best dishes, but it was my LEAST favorite. We sliced it in half, and my side of the pork was quite fatty and inedible. It was also too sweet for my taste. Service is efficient, and multiple servers watch over your table. The dishes are delivered quickly, too, so eat up! I'm glad I read other reviews, because we got there right at 5:30, and the restaurant was completely filled up by 6:15. There are more two-tops than four-tops, so if you are going with a group, you absolutely have to get there early if you don't want to wait an hour or more. And the only place to really wait is outside (other than the bar, which is usually mostly seated with other diners). In terms of the price, I thought they were very reasonable. All of these dishes--and two beers--totaled only $76. Not bad for the quality of food! If you like a variety of flavors, Good Food is one to try!
