  • I've heard a lot of great things about this place. People keep raving about how good everything is, but to be quite honest it just tasted ok to me. I'm giving it four stars because the decor and feel of the place is definitely amazing. You definitely feel like you are in a soda/ice cream shop from the 50's. The workers were also very kind and patient, despite it being a busy summer weekend. We tried the traditional banana split, ice cream soda- pomegranate syrup flavor, and the turtle sundae. To me the ice cream was average. I've definitely had better ice cream, but I think it's great that they have a variety of soda and ice cream flavors to choose from for the ice cream sodas. Yes, they have their own soda fountains too. They also try very hard to decorate your order, and make it presentable (as well as appealing). I think overall the ambiance is worth the trip! It's a cute place, and they open fairly late!! WARNING, they do not allow any glassware outside! So if you plan on sitting outside to have your treat, let them know! They will plate your order in plastic...we learned this the hard way.
