| - Had a quick lunch here soon after checking in and dumping my bags in the room. It was too late for a full lunch and I didn't want to fill up as I knew my friends and I were going have a big dinner in Chinatown. This place seems pretty crowded no matter what time of the morning, day, or night it is and there's usually a bit of a line to get in. Luckily for us we only had to wait a few minutes since it was kind of getting toward the end of the lunch hours.
I must say this is a pretty nice place....nice trendy looking cafe....dimly lit....with lots of table or booth seating. Immediately after being seated, our server came over to greet us and took our drinks order....nice and friendly guy. It didn't take long to decide what I wanted and I knew the portions would be pretty large, so my friend and I decided to split a chicken salad sandwich with fries. Not bad.....had pretty much all the fixins' and the fries were hot and fresh....my only complaint would probably be that it could've had more chicken salad filling in it.
We came back here again two days later for their breakfast. Before I flew out to Vegas, my brother had given me a couple of Costco coupons for either a free continental breakfast or the grand lux breakfast buffet for just $11+ (Usual price about $19+). Of course we went ahead and chose the breakfast buffet! It wasn't a huge spread, but good enough for a very filling breakfast....lots of fresh fruit. yoghurt, pastries, breads, a couple of hot food stations with hash browns, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, and waffles.....and there's an egg station for eggs made to order.....nice touch :) Drinks are ordered from the server separately, and OH WoW......the OJ is freshly squeezed and amazingly refreshing! For what you get for the grand lux breakfast buffet, it's well worth the regular $19+.....and is just an absolute deal at $11+! Yum!.....Very good breakfast!
The menu is pretty extensive with pretty much all you need to satisfy any kind of 24/7.craving.
