My wife and I got engaged in early 2015 and wanted to have our wedding at the Phoenician. We were always frequent customers and had many "staycations" at the resort. We contacted the Phoenician and worked with Gregory Wirth. We set up an appointment time and drove up there on a Friday afternoon. Gregory Wirth started it off by being late. Since we were very excited about having it there we asked him for pricing and he said he is not sure he will send it to us via email. It was surprising to us that he didn't have it prepared since our emails were very detailed and we knew exactly what we wanted. After our meeting we felt very bad about our experience. Gregory Wirth treated us like we were second rate people and didn't treat us like we were used to at the Phoenician HORRIBLE SERVICE. At this point we started looking at different venues. Over the next two weeks he sent us 3 DIFFERENT quotes with grammatical errors and typos. There was also HIDDEN fees and extra charges worked in to the contract that people glancing at the quote wouldn't catch. I reached out to Gregory Wirth and let him know that we wouldn't be using his place as our Venue. We decided on the Arizona Biltmore and had a wonderful and pleasant experience. Please look at the Phoenix Biltmore if you want to have an event or wedding. Better pricing, more history, and MUCH better service.
