| - Infrastructure:
- I absolutely loved Sky Harbor plain and simple layout. And its cosmic view!
- I loved the "navigators", people who help with directions. Not such thing at O'Hare. I talked to four of them and all were fun, easy going, willing to chit chat and helpful and that's awesome!
- I loved that you can go shopping before the check-in lines. Not the case at O'Hare. And I found quite a few stores!
- The only fragrance store I was trying to find was closed with a hanging sign to come visit the new store at gate B12. So I did to find out they sell their stuff only for international flyers. I was dissapointed.. as I wanted to take home the scent of my trip to Phoenix.
People:
- I had a chance to chat with a bus driver, navigators, security guys, airline stand guys and a cart guy who gave me a fun ride across the terminals. All but the security guys where fun to chat with.
I don't know what was wrong with them.. the passport control guy didn't say a word, not even a muscle movement around his mouth. Hands down, he would do terrific as a jail guard!
The security guys looked annoyed.. I politely requested to pass a cup with hot tea I got on me because of my poor condition health condition, I was barely speaking due to a sore throat. One young guy blinked at me and said you're okay man. The old beasts refused to help me take this little cup over. Okay... you got it, I throw my tea in the trash. Now, this guy says I want to check your bag, go bring it to me (it stuck on the moving lane). I say, if you want to check my bag, go ahead, go grab it and do a check. It's your fucking job, I won't do it for you. They opened their mouths looking at me and I just told them all I got on my mind about their job. Funny how people change when they see you can stand up for yourself..
All in all, I liked the airport, the new shuttles, the modern architecture, the new buildings, the views and didn't want a couple of assholes at the security gate to be the reason for me to rate down Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
