  • My girlfriend and I are frequent customers at the shops on Mill and came to The Baked Bear for their promotion to get a free ice cream sandwich and try it out. We waited over an hour and finally made it inside, waiting through a bit of rain as well. Right when we were next to start ordering our sandwiches, a lady (the owner, or possibly the manager) swiped her arm down behind the customer in front of us and said, "This is the last free one!" After looking at our faces, seeing both our surprise and disappointment, the lady tells us she had gone outside and told everyone after that customer there would be no more free ones. We didn't see her at all and neither did any of the customers behind us. Nobody behind the "final customer" was aware of a ticket system to obtain a free sandwich and instead of clearly telling everyone they would not get to use the promotion, they let us wait in line for an hour and tried to get us to stay and pay for one. Just about everyone immediately left after that frustrated and disappointed. Don't deal with their poor customer service, just go to Slickables! They're great and have been around much longer.
