My husband buys a lot of clothes from MD and every time we go to Europe we have to go to this store. I also regularly go there to buy and pick up the clothes he has had altered. I am usually treated similarly, not as a valued customer. Today I was at the First Canadian Place store to exchange sizes of 2 polo shirts I bought my husband for his birthday. I had to ask for help, didn't get and she wanted to see my bill to see if they were bought on sale, this before I was even at the desk. Then I joined the long line of people buying and refunding. Only one person on cash. When I realized that one of the shirts I got to replace one being exchanged was not a polo I thought it was then I couldn't dare find another as joining that line again would have meant another long wait. Then you are made to feel that you are not a customer but some interloper wasting their time and inconveniencing others. They also asked to see my credit card that I was using to get my refund ( never ever had this happen in any other store) on one shirt I couldn't exchange as my husband had removed the tag, though it was in the bag. Why is there a stuck up and unhelpful attitude here regardless of which of these young people is "serving" you. They can't make much but they act like you don't belong there. I am never shopping there again. My husband will have to do his own shopping. I am going also tell everyone of the hundreds of people I work with not to either. Train your people to be welcoming and client service oriented!
