  • OMG! How this place got such high marks is beyond me. You seriously need to get your heads checked. This location may have had turnover of staff and owners but the menu has not changed in FOREVER. When will this chain ever change their menus. I swear this will be the last time I will ever visit a Caffe Demetre again. The place was super busy. Our server looked like he was running with his head cut off. I actually felt sorry for him. The people sitting beside us weren't even served after I'd say about 20 minutes. Also too, my gf and I were disgusted as both of us felt very itchy in there. The lamp shades weren't dusted off in some time, there were small flies flying around and the decor hasn't been changed since the last time I was in there in 2011, let alone since it opened I'd say over 10 years ago. That location's interior and the menu seriously need a makeover. I hope that when Dufferin Street has a makeover in the years ahead, Demetres will have changed or gone from that location. I'm sorry if I am harsh but it's long overdue. I would hope that the franchise owner of that location and Demetre's HO are reading this.
