| - Just got back from Las Vegas for Spring break with the family and couldn't wait to write a review of The Hydrant Club. We took our new baby for her first road trip to visit grandma but we didn't want to just stay home with the pup the entire time. We searched and visited a couple of doggie camps around the strip but nothing looked or felt right for our shy and introverted poodle mix. Then we saw an ad for a new outdoor, members only doggie club and decided to drive down to check it out. It was such a pleasure to see so many well behaved dogs. They were all playing outside in an enclosed green area with lots of shade...none of the dogs were on a leash, we liked that.
As we sat in our minivan just checking it all out, Cathy the owner approached the van to chat. Right away, our puppy started licking her and perhaps recognized kindred spirit. We returned the next day for our puppy assessment and decided to join the club.
We left our baby for the first time to play with other dogs and also asked Cathy to help us with some obedience/leash training.
Athena, our pup, had never been socialized and was fearful at first but by the end she made some pretty significant breakthroughs thanks to the staff at THC. We're so happy that we found this place and will definitely bring our baby back to play with her new friends. If you're looking for a place for your puppy to play while you play on the strip, this is the best one in town. THC is also full service boarding, grooming and training. There's an in-house retail shop where you can buy leash, toys, food, etc. My family and I love The Hydrant Club so much we all bought apparel to help Cathy spread the word about this hidden gem in downtown Las Vegas. Wish she had a branch in Palos Verdes, that would be so awesome!
