  • We've been a few times and we always say we should go back more often. We should! Fran's went through a renovation recently that has really enhanced the look and feel of the restaurant; the bar in particular. The service has been consistently great and the food is always excellent. The menu is a mix of their traditional sandwiches along with some great appetizers and substantial main plates. It's not just a lunch place, dinner too! There is always a special and the dishes are creative. I always order their corn fritter appetizer; very tasty and you won't find something similar locally. And check our their bacon wrapped tater tots! Overall a great experience to enjoy a great meal and a neighborhood gem **** As an update we went back - twice; once for lunch and once for dinner. For lunch I had their winter BLT. Quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. They use a basil pesto with roasted tomatoes and of course bacon. A superb flavor combination. At dinner, I did the specials all the way. That evening they had a short-rib appetizer garnished with crispy onions ... So very good. Absolute compliments to the kitchen interns of preparation. I then had bacon and Brussels sprout flatbread. While not advertised - they added a little mustard, which added so much to the flavor.
