  • I was so disappointed in the way things were handled. I booked my hair and makeup with them almost 10 months before my wedding. I had a trial run and LOVED my makeup but my hair didn't stay up for even a few hours. So I went back to the drawing board and picked a different style hoping that would make the difference. The week leading into my wedding I had text conversations back in forth with Natalie. I asked about the extensions because my mom wanted to verify it was included in the package she paid for. It wasn't. I was referred to a beauty store and told to go there and let them color match me. So I went and got extensions. The day before my wedding I had advised Natalie that I had gotten the extensions but they had not cut them. She told me I would need to trim it myself. Erm okay. I don't do hair so I have not a clue but I can figure it out. The day before the wedding we had txt back and forth through out the day and I was so excited that my big day was only hours away. At 7:30 the night before my wedding I got a txt to my phone saying Elizabeth's son was sick. As a mom I understand that completely BUT to txt me and tell me that as a professional who owns their own business is not okay. After texts went back and forth between my maid of honor and Natalie she called finally. She said she had found someone else that will do my makeup. Someone I didn't have a trial run with or even met. My bridal party all knew of the situation and found a solution before I was told what was going on. After I was informed of the situation I had txt back to let her know we wouldn't need their services anymore. I would've been okay if the conversation would've started with an apology or if it wasn't so last minute as we were texting throughout the day. The apologies came after my mother had requested a refund for services and the texts continued until after midnight. I would've gone with their replacement if I had time to do a trial run with them or if I felt like the job could've been done. With my hair falling down during the trial I was already concerned and didn't feel comfortable with possibly having a disaster hours before my wedding. I really hope Elizabeth's son is on the mend and feeling better. She does a phenomenal job on makeup. My makeup and hair was done for my wedding without any issues by Annmarie who is an independent makeup artist and hair stylist. When emergencies happen hours before a wedding, start with an apology and a phone call instead of a text. When you're told your services are no longer needed, stop texting and let it go. Let your brides know when they do the trial that the extensions are NOT included and they aren't available upon consultation. The bride will need to get them color matched and trimmed to the right length on their own even though on the website it says they can cut hair. That if a brides hair is long and thick they will need to get the long Bobby pins themselves because the short ones won't in fact hold their hair up no matter how many are stuck in their hair.
