Cheap rates most weeknights and doable for those prices for a night but not one of my top choices. Place is kept up OK but the main problem is structural - just a super old building with paper thin walls and super squeaky floors. Not many lights in the room, one lamp had a shattered bulb that couldn't be removed, line of lights that looked to be over a former vanity had no apparent switch to actually turn them on!
Other issue is they have the worst TV selection I've seen anywhere, basically just a handful of broadcast channels with ESPN and ESPN 2 ... not sure how you even wind up with that combo. I guess if you're not watching TV and can sleep with earplugs in you're alright though. Nice that they do have a laundry room on site, a rarity for any kind of Strip lodgings. Can't say I saw any bugs either.
Really not "where the action is" though, unless "the action" to you is Circus Circus and/or the convention center expansion that is under construction. Nuffin for food right nearby except overpriced Circus Circus stuff, the 24 hour McDonalds across from where the Riv used to be and a CVS.
