I used to love Dunkin Donuts when I lived in San Jose, CA, but the store near me closed. So it's been years since I enjoyed one of their soft and delicious creations. How fortunate I was when I moved to Las Vegas a short while back and realized there was this beautiful brand new Dunkin Donuts just down the block. Last Friday I went in with my taste buds salivating. HOW DISAPPOINTED I WAS.
First, they didn't have my favorite; a plain donut with white frosting and coconut. What I thought would have been a staple. In fact their selection was quite disappointing. About half of what you would expect. But, I still ordered a half-dozen. As soon as I got into my car I immediately grabbed the first one. As I gobbled away I was stunned. Stunned because at 1 in the afternoon it was STALE. I dismissed it as an anomaly. When I got home I offered my wife one and I grabbed a second. BOTH WERE STALE, IN FACT ALL WERE STALE. THEY WERE SELLING ME LAST NIGHTS PRODUCT.
I can understand that perhaps as a new store they don't get the foot traffic to move their inventory. But this is all you're selling. Make half as much as you normally do, BUT don't sell your customers a STALE LEFT-OVER product. Obviously the owners don't read YELP. If they did they'd see that hiring kids to run your business is the best way to go BROKE.
I'll stop back in when I see a sign reading UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT and give the store a second chance.
