  • We love this place precisely because of the no cell phone, no talking rules with reserved seats (and nobody hikes their gross feet up on the backs of the seats in front of them). We've gone to a few shows, but I want to encourage others to check out the special events like older movies you can rewatch with other fans (we saw Ghost Busters) and Detroit with an ASU professor of history speaking afterward. That was amazing. The crowd spoke and interacted and many people made connections afterward to keep the conversation going. Now that's what being a fabulous member of the community looks like!!! The food can be pricey but the bottomless popcorn has real butter, is amazing and is constantly filled. I wish they'd actually clear dirty plates and drinks faster, but that's the one and only complaint I have about this place. P.S. I emailed this week realizing I'd accidentally created 2 accounts and received a reply in ONE DAY! I was referred to the tech department and had them merged with such prompt, friendly customer service, it frankly stunned me. I've not had service that speedy and friendly in at least a decade. Kudos Alamo -- you're a welcome, hip, cool place bringing community events and stellar service in an age where that's just more and more rare.
