| - Basis for my starred ratings (which skews heavily to the food or drink):
1 star: Never again.
2 stars: Poor food, poor experience, extraordinary measures in order for me to come back.
3 stars: Average, nothing really special, nothing particularly bad.
4 stars: Very good, would definitely return.
5 stars: A favorite, one of the best.
The bruschetta board saves this place. They are excellent, myself being partial to the tomato and basil, burrata and bacon and arugula, and the white bean with tomato. I've also had the pub board, which is great to nosh on with a beer (Spanish corn nuts too!) The grilled cheese is solid, nice thick, chewy bread, good amount of quality cheese. And the butcher's block, another noshing board that I can't complain about.
If you are looking for truly excellent wines, this is not the place. The wines here are a great value. They are good enough for the price when everything is $5, or $20 for a whole bottle and a bruschetta (on Mondays and Tuesdays.) But they are not deep, complex, mouth-filling, blow-your-mind wines. I come for the beer.
And the ambiance, which is awesome. There is nothing better than sitting outside here with a pitcher of beer and picking at one of the boards. The energy here is great and the staff has always been friendly.
Oh. The salted caramel Sunday. Again, it's got corn nuts. Awesome. Sign up for their email list and you get a free dessert (get this one) on your birthday.
