| - This place is a Las Vegas family staple. Been here at least 50 years. It's just an outdoor stand with a glass window (which is closed between orders--partly to keep the inside of the stand cool, and partly for safety reasons, as it is a dicey neighborhood). The custard is rich and creamy. They offer old standbys such as the "Western Special," a personal favorite of mine. But I would just get some flavor you like and add toppings and keep it simple. You enjoy the flavor of the custard more that way. Tried the chocolate and the "birthday cake" flavors, which were the specials. But they rotate them. There is no place to sit, but people still linger eating custard at their cars or just standing around the stand. It is near the "OG", formerly a strip joint, but thankfully that place is kaput, but it still stands as an eyesore. Again, it's an interesting (yes, in the rough sense), neighborhood. But go with a group, or in the daytime, and you may find it interesting in a good way. Prices are reasonable (maybe a little high), but at least now they accept debit and credit cards. (Used to be cash only). Service is really friendly. But sometimes it may go slowly, just because there is a lot of interest, and only a couple people to get those custards out. But you're not in a hurry, are you? It's summertime, and you're eating custard on Las Vegas Boulevard! Stop and smell the custard, if you will.
