On the last day of our Vegas trip, my husband and I went searching for a quick bit to eat before heading back home. While we were paying for our order I noticed that there were a pretty good number of people waiting for their orders by the pick up area. I assumed it just meant that the restaurant was really busy because the food was good. Not the case. They just had really, really slow service. I went to the soda fountain to fill up my drink cup. The ice dispenser wasn't working. Some people at a table nearby saw me fumbling with the drink machine and pointed at a plastic container. I removed the cover and found ice and an ice spoon. Ew. I don't generally consider myself a germophobe, but that was gross. The container seemed to be newly filled so I decided to throw sanitation to the wind and add a few cubes to my drink - only because I abhor warm soda. By the time they finally called out our number, I was starving. I looked down at my plate and all I could do was feel disappointment. I ordered the corned beef hash with over-medium eggs. The eggs were ok. The corned beef has looked and tasted like it was straight out of a can. I was so hungry that I ate everything any way, but I think I would have been better off grabbing something from McDonald's instead. The only reason I'm adding an extra star is because they're open 24 hours a day. (Side note if you're looking for late night dining options: the McDonald's in the Luxor food court is open 24/7 too.)
