| - I'd like to start out by saying, my review is based solely on Dr. Okeke's office, and not the doctor himself. Dr. Okeke is wonderful, attentive, and empathetic - but his staff is a poor representation of his expertise.
The receptionists and front office admins are flat out rude. Particularly Brie. The front office is also highly unorganized and unhelpful. I was misinformed by Brie - TWICE - in regards to follow up appointments and refills. I received conflicting information from another receptionist, which only exasperated my frustration. When I called to reschedule an appointment, I was greeted with hostility from Brie, and when I asked if she needed my name for the appointment (she did not ask or verify my birthdate; not very reassuring for patient security) she responded with strong attitude "I know who you are."
This kind of behavior is inappropriate for a mental health practice. I'm fortunate enough to have been prescribed mild medication for an easily manageable diagnosis, but other patients have it much worse. It's unbelievable to see such rude treatment of patients that already have enough difficulty in life as it is.
Once again, this review is reserved only for the office, and not for Dr. Okeke. It's truly a shame to see such a wonderful physician be so poorly represented by a despicable front office.
I highly suggest an overhaul of the receptionist staffing, or at the very least - strong coaching in the courtesy department. After all, having a consistent influx of patients is what keeps practices in business, correct?
Regrettably, I'll be moving on and receiving my prescriptions and treatment from my primary care physician.
