| - Had my son's cake smash and family photos done at the studio. For one, the studio is gorgeous. So many different set designs and props to choose from. Ms. LaLa "Lauren" did our shoot. I had been so excited and had planned everything for the shoot including the time, date, outfit changes, etc. My son was teething or something and had feel asleep on the 35 minute drive to the location. It had been raining and dreary out. I thought my son would wake up happy like he normally does, and he didn't! I was so bummed. He was cranky, clingy and would not stop crying. This is super unlike him. We proceeded with the family photos still. He stopped crying, but was not doing much. Ms. LaLa was so good at getting my son to interact with her and advising us how to pose.
We did the cake smash next. They will get a small cake for you for $25 from a bakery they use. They can pretty much do any sort of design. The cake came out just like I asked. Once we put my son down to take the photos, it was so hard. He kept whining and making sad faces. We were wiping snot and tears from him. Ms. LaLa just kept shooting away though. She was making fun noises, smiling, singing songs.. It was great.
She made a little cleaning station for him afterwards, we wiped him down and made an appointment to come back.
I came back during the week and of course my son was so outgoing and happy. Like a different baby. But anyways, we sat on a couch in her small viewing area. She played a slideshow of about 100 photos. I was freaking AMAZED. For real. The photos came out so GOOD! I was expecting the worse considering the snot and everything else. Lol. After the slideshow, she sat down and I asked her to see the packages. I ended up picking a 35 photo package. We then went through all 100 photos. She placed some photos side by side or in fours so we could pick out the best photo of similar photos. She has a great eye on what makes a good photo. I was able to narrow it down to 37 photos, she just ended up giving me the two I could not decide from. Awesome.
She gave me the photos on a thumb drive in a sweet box and a photo release if I wanted to print photos at like Office Max. I came home and posted some photos on Facebook and everyone really loved them as much as I did. I even got several people that had asked me for a referral.
Overall, great job and I would highly recommend. Especially for photos of the little ones which they specialize in!
