Let's put it bluntly. I procrastinate. I had known about my trip months in advance but decided to wait until the last few days to find a place to board my dog, Barkley, over the Thanksgiving holiday. After several phone calls I had a feeling Barkley was going with me to Florida. I was scrolling through pages of search results and happened to land on Canine Village's website. I called Janet and sent her an email. She was booked full. All the sudden my travel plans started drastically changing in my head. Do the hotels accept dogs? If not, will I be able to sneak a highly energetic dog in? Do I have to buy a plane ticket?
Thankfully, I got an email back from Janet saying there was a last minute cancellation and that she'd be glad to have him. I was unsure about boarding him because he's never been boarded before. All I could think about was small, cramped living quarters and no playtime for a week.
When I arrived Janet greeted me with a smile and reviewed all his vaccinations and showed me his living quarters. As soon as I walked around the place I knew I was comfortable. She sent me an update when I was gone letting me know that Barkley runs as fast as lightening and enjoys following her around while doing her daily outdoor routines.
When I came to pick Barkley up he was clean, super happy, and not too eager to leave haha. He was flea and tick free as he was when I dropped him off.
I highly recommend Canine Village and it happens to be a steal of a deal. Other boarding places charge for playtime. Who does that? Not Janet :)
