  • THE WORST!!!!! I hired this company and was impressed with the lady who answered the phone, Monique. She was also nice enough to wait until my pay day to process my deposit. That's where the good stuff ends. I called the morning of my move and Monique said she didn't see my paperwork so I should be first. They got there within the 2 hour window. Fine. I had all my stuff in boxes, labeled and in the living room. The guys said that I was organized more than most. The guys were nice enough, but damn...Ok so Brian, was slower than molasses. Yusef, got busy taking the boxes out to the truck, but seemed to linger. Brian complained about Yusef wanting to do his own thing. These two guys actually bickered like an old married couple. They informed me that they'd charge me $1 per blanket. They also charge $39 for shrink wrap, but I had my own and made them use it. I had moved into this place 2 years ago, 3 miles away and it took 2 1/2 hours. It took these guys 2 hours just to get the truck loaded up. I told them from the beginning I was totally broke for this move so we had to hustle. I even took some stuff out to the truck. They said they were going to stop and get some water. So my friend and I went over to the new place. We waited over 1/2 hour. They also said I wouldn't get charged for that time. Good. I called when we got to my new place and told Monique what was going on. She said her manager was out of the office. I never heard from anyone until it was time to settle the bill. Long story short...they started at 10:00 a.m. and finished at 3. I moved 1/2 mile away, so travel time wasn't really an issue. Couch, Shelf, Bed, Dresser, 4 end tables/night stands, glass table that had "wonky" legs to begin with came off during the move, table, 4 chairs and 15 - 20 boxes. The place I was moving out of was also on the ground floor! The guy didn't know how to take apart or assemble my bed. When Brian was putting the bed in my new room he said, 'Oh, I didn't have to unscrew the hardware.' No, it's the kind with hooks that slid into slots! Anyway...I noticed my leather sofa was dirty and scraped. The sofa had been purchased new and sat in the same spot for 2 years. My dresser now has an edge that is all scraped up. I also bought that 2 years ago, uncrated it in the same spot, it hadn't been moved. I found more damage after they left. They wanted to charge me $384 on top of the $69 deposit! I told them I wouldn't pay it. They called and talked to their manager and then put me on the phone with him. I told him that I wouldn't pay him. We settled on $300. I am going to get estimates for the repairs and submit them, but I suspect that a company like this won't reimburse me. I'm livid! The worst moving experience I've ever had! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!!!
