| - Came in at 1:30pm for balayage and wanted to go lighter all over and bring the blonde parts closer to my roots to cover my growth. The instructor,Carrie, said they might not be able to get as light as I wanted, and I was disappointed to hear that but let them continue hoping that at least they would cover up most of my brown hair that had grown out. The whole process of putting the lightener on my hair was ~3.5 hrs long, washing and toning at the sink was ~10-15minutes, and by the time we got back the chair, there was only 10 minutes left to dry it before the salon closed at 5pm. It was a good thing I didn't do a hair cut or conditioning treatment like they suggested because I wouldn't have been able to get that done! I feel like it looks almost the same as it did before, and I'm disappointed that it doesn't look different/they didn't dye closer to the roots. I liked the girl who did my hair, Delilah, and she did a good job on my hair, but it wasn't what I wanted. I kept confirming with them about the plan/what I was trying to achieve, but it's hard to tell what it would look like after getting washed out and dried when there is lightener all over. At the end (5pm is salon closing) there wasn't time to ask them to fix/change it, and I didn't have the heart to tell them that it wasn't really what I wanted. So I just left with my semi wet hair and hoped it would look different when it got completely dry, at least it doesn't look worse than before!
