  • I was in charge of my aunt's finances and personal matters for two years before her death. She stopped driving prior to this time. Taking over her finances showed me that certain family members were taking money and mitigating what little she had for her own expenses. So I closed that account and opened another at another bank. I kept her checkbook and debit cards in my possession, giving her a monthly stipend. This worked fabulously. Her money was no longer in jeopardy. I took great pleasure in this! While I was at it, I told them to pay their own damn cell bills. Mouths agape. She still had a car in the garage which became an enticement for family to use without regard, care or replenishing gas, and someone took it out of state, had an accident and didn't mention a word. I advised her to sell the car before knowing about the accident. I didn't have the time for a usual sale and thought of CarMax. My husband washed the car and noticed the hood was misaligned with a small crack in the front bumper. I thought that's just how it was. It was through CarMax that I learned of the accident. It was a no-hassle deal. A thorough inspection was conducted and a fair price offered. I took her autistic 40 year old grandson with me, gave him the check and took him to the bank. I always have my eye on Porsches, having been a previous owner. They had a couple on the lot. Very nice. Someday! If they don't have what you want, search the site and you may very well find it in another state which can be transferred. Whether you're on the buying or selling end, CarMax makes it easy and quick.You either get the car, or the cash.Win-win!
