  • No one ever wants to be stuck with a broken down car, waiting for a tow truck, already feeling exhausted in the dry desert heat on Yelp Spring Break weekend... Yup, that's right... 5/18, 3:30pm, belt snaps, car dies, and all that is left is the smell of burnt rubber. So after 1.5 hours spent on the phone to contact AAA, to tow truck, to hooking up my car, and to driving to Oasis, I was a heat exhausted moody hot mess! Sweaty, dehydrated from the heat, and my arm was all covered in car filth... it was no doubt that I was not a very pleasant person at this time. Anyway, I left my car to Oasis, really with no other choice, but to trust... Oasis said it "looked" simple. Gosh, one could only hope... On a positive note, I made it to the car rental place 5 mins before closing and was still able to attend the Yelp Spring Break--Living Neon party at Fremont St. ...only an hour late. Whew! Better late than never! So 9am, Saturday morning 5/19... got a call, my car is ready! The breakdown? +Tension pully $70 +Drive belt $64 +Shop supplies 10.35 +Labor $95 + tax $11.69 It's been a week, so far so good. But I have had some experience in car repairs... and I honestly think that I might have paid too much for this repair. Anyway, I was moody & desperate and they were friendly & fast. Fair trade for now. CONVENIENCE: *** [I was towed here, so I couldn't deny repairs even if I wanted to.] SERVICE: ***** [Thanks for dealing with my heat exhausted, WTF? "I can't believe this is happening now" moodiness.] AMBIANCE: **** [Looks clean, entrance is somewhat obscure.] PRICE: $$$ [The damage? $251.04] OVERALL: ***/* [3.5 stars, rounded up to 4, just for dealing with my moodiness.] Would I go back? Idk, but thanks for the save! Nuff said.
