  • I've been to Static twice: once on NYE and once on a regular Saturday night with a friend. NYE was packed. The other time I was there the dance floor filled up, but not so much that you couldn't move around. They play electronic dance music (some it remixed from Top 40, some of it random stuff) exclusively. If you like EDM this is the place to go. If you hate it, stay away, you won't have a good time. I like it here because I come out to dance not make the scene (what scene there is in Pittsburgh anyway) and Static doesn't feel real meat-markety like some places. Some people dress up, but there are also a lot of girls in jeans and dressy tank tops and guys in jeans and button down shirts. Low-key for the most part. The cover was only five bucks, five dollar beer, and they had free coat check. I also like the fact that I can park my car for five dollars (cash only) right in front of the club and there is a parking lot attendant there.
