I've been to Su Vino on many occasions and always had great experiences until this time....
I visited Saturday evening (5/27) with a groupon for 4. I had friends in from out of town and was excited to bring them here because of my previous visits. When I called to make a reservation for 8:30pm, the man on the phone was like "ummmm well 8:30 really isn't a good time, uhh, wellllll, ya we have a table for you". I thought that was really strange but let it go. When we arrived we stood at the front door for about 5 minutes before we were greeted and taken to our table. I normally wouldn't mind if it were busy but it seemed as we were being ignored. A "we'll be right with you" would've been nice, but nothing... Our table was really slimy and had tons of crumbs everywhere. Again, I normally wouldn't mind but we felt so weird after the strange comment while making reservations and waiting up front. When our waiter arrived, he never gave us his name or explained anything on the menu. We sat there for about 15 minutes before he came back and asked us what we wanted. We received zero explanation of the wine!?!? We ordered the cheese plate and antipasto plate. When that finally came out it was just set on our table, no telling us what the cheese were or anything. We were actually googling them to find out.
We waiting about 20-25 minutes between each wine sample. Sometimes our waiter told us what he was bringing out and sometimes he didn't. All 3 of my guests received duplicates of wine they didn't ask for. We all chose 5 different samples but they couldn't get that right either.
We left feeling really weird. It was definitely the worst restaurant/winery experience I've ever had. I won't be back.
P.S. They also moved. They didn't mention this when I called to make reservations so it wasn't until I showed up at the old location and called them that I found out. They are closer to AZ88 now.
