| - When booking the appointment, you go through a .. I guess it's a hotline. While booking the appointment the lady on the phone asked if I would like a scented massage balm. I agreed. Who wouldn't? Thought "that was nice of her to ask..."
Went to massage, receptionists were miserable and unhelpful but the therapist was wonderful. The scented balm was like orange-y goodness.
All done, time to get dressed, time to pay up.
"Um, why is there a charge on here for 14$ for massage balm?"
"because you requested scented balm"
"Yes, I was asked if I wanted it, I didn't know I would have to sell my soul"
the 14 year old snobby receptionists were not understanding why scented balm at the hefty price of 14$ would be upsetting. I was sad because the chick on the phone forgot to mention it was not only extra, not only like 5 or 7 dollars, but 14? IT's not even like they gave me a little jar to take home. You know how some places give you the oil they used? Nope, it was soaked up by my skin and I should've enjoyed my 8 million dollar lotion all week by not showering.
What's the point of getting a massage when you have benefits if you end up fronting tip and MASSAGE BALM FEES? Brutal. Haven't been back since. Still super disappointed since it's a lovely spa and the massage was nice. Left a bad, orange-y taste in my mouth.
