Monta has a line out the door, as expected from its tasty food and popularity. I was lucky enough to wait only 10 minutes, because the two parties before me weren't there when their names were called.
The restaurant is tiny with around 10 items on their menu. They focus on ramen with two types of broth and other rice bowl dishes. Unlike their wait, the service is quick and efficient. We ordered the shoyu ramen with corn, large pork belly rice bowl and chashu bowl. The Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen had a deep and thick broth.
The pork belly rice bowl was delicious! The thin and tender pieces of pork were cooked to perfection and the fatty components melted in your mouth. The juices from the pork travel down to the rice and leaving enough flavor for you to even eat the rice alone.
The Mentaiko bowl was a great contrast to the ramen. However, the Mentaiko is very salty and they don't give you much.
